A few years ago while I was shooting a photo series about historical re-enactments I stumbled across a book called Living History Museums - Undoing History Through Performance by Scott Magelssen. It became an invaluable resource for my project and I reached out to Scott for more of his writings. We connected and shared our work with each other and this past spring I was honored to have an image from my project used as the cover of his new book of essays, Enacting History, that he edited with Rhona Justice-MAlloy.
My interests in photography (and drawing, art, design and everything else) are varied but mainly revolve around color, light, landscape, portraiture and fashion. A friend of mine was looking around here and said, "it looks like this is about camping and porn." And while I have not posted about either of those things directly, I get it. After all, my favorite show is The Deadliest Catch, but I still can't wait for the newest issue of Arena Homme +. -Matthew Sandager
